| The most important thing about being a law-abiding rider is to stop where the signs indicate the end of the trail. For example, if you were to continue illegally past the END BIKE TRAIL sign, you would enjoy an easy, gradual descent on a safe, wide dirt path for about half a mile and end yourself up at one of the most beautiful fishing holes in the park. So by all means, don't ride your bike down this Outlaw Trail! Oddly enough, all those hikers, walkers and birdwatchers and geyser-sitters will also stop at this sign. So be sure not to break the law and ride this part of the trail without distraction!! We're sure you'll agree, that it would be much better to get into your motor home and drive to the parking lot with all the other motor homes. There, you can enjoy the Fire Hole River from the safety and comfort of your Winnebago while sipping a Fresca. Hell, that's how they did it in the 50's...
To NOT Enter the trail, drive to Old Faithful Geyser, spend 10 minutes finding a parking space, get outta your car and on your Pedaler Bike, and start riding up the safe and legal part of the trail. DO NOT BLOW PAST THE END OF TRAIL SIGN, OR YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF IN THE KIND OF PLACE THAT WE ONLY SEE IN THE BIKE ADS!
It is easy to tell when you are on the bike trail. Just find the pedestrians!

I should have worn my helmet! For a free Ped-T: Name that bike!
What a beautiful place.
You can do more bike riding at The Grand Canyon Of Yellowstone, but there are frustrating and unnecessary outlaw trails there too. |
