Garmin's Edge 705 pushes you to do your best, then shows you the way back. It's a trainer that wirelessly tracks key riding info like speed, cadence, heart rate and climb/descent. And, it's also a navigator with the ability to give turn-by-turn directions, add and save workouts, courses and previous rides. Plus, the 705 works with third-party ANT+ Sport-enabled power meters to display your watts as you ride. You can even analyze and share your stats with Garmin’s online training community and race against a prerecorded course to gauge your training progress. And, the 705 boasts a waterproof case, a high-sensitivity receiver that holds a signal under trees, a customizable display and a rechargeable Li-polymer battery that runs for up to 15 hours per charge.

This is the absolute best training device available. Heart rate, cadence, power output (w/ANT+ PowerTap or SRM), maps - what more could you want? Garmin Training Center a/o Garmin Connect both allow you to track your progress via charts and graphs, even allowing you to view your routes in Google Earth. Only con is that it's a bit tricky to set up. I'd recommend updating the soft/firmware via Garmin's website first - made it a lot easier to sync everything.
