Cannondale's Trail SL 29er 3 keeps it pure with large-diameter, thin-wall aluminum frame tubes that maximize stiffness and minimize weight so you can climb quickly and easily. The 1.5-inch head tube houses 100mm-travel fork so you roll roughshod over roots, rocks, etc. You troop over everything in your path thanks to the 29-inch wheels wrapped with grippy WTB tires. You've got 27 speeds, plenty for any trail out there, too. And slowing down is simple with Shimano discs providing serious stopping power and pinpoint control.

I have to carry a stick on the trails to fight off all of the women that want me when I'm riding this bike. I almost wreck every ride because underwear are thrown at my face constantly. People cheer when I ride by. It's like freakin' Ace Ventura too. Animals just line the trails to watch me go by. I mainly use this bike for rides around the neighborhood and singletrack (Castlewood, Lost Valley). After I purchased the bike, it needed a couple of adjustments. Luckily, Big Shark offers free adjustments (while you wait) to make it easier on you. The first time the gears had a grinding noise - simple adjustment. Second time, the rear derailer would get hung up between gears - simple adjustment. However, out of the box for singletrack use, the bike needs tire upgrades. They are too narrow and make it difficult to build confidence on technical trails. Good thing is, tires are a cheap investment. LOVE the brakes. They almost work TOO good. It's an art learning to ride knowing that your brakes will do exactly what you need them to like whipping around a sharp 180 degree turn. You can go into corners fast and let your brakes guide you.
Bought this for my first bike. Had it for 2 months and so far I love it. The remote lock out is great when you have to crank down hard.
Every Thing is great about the bike
