TRAINERS
YOUR WINTER SECRET TO A FAST AND FIT SPRING!
STATIONARY TRAINER
A stationary trainer allows you to use your own bike without concentrating on your balance while exercising. This allows you use your time more efficiently (i.e. read a book or watch a movie.) There are several choices to make when purchasing a trainer. Resistance units and drive interfaces are primary differences between models. All models we carry mount at the rear quick release. This is an improved design over older models that clamp at the fork and bottom bracket.
ROLLERS
Rollers are an alternative to stationary trainers. Rollers add an additional challenge to your home workout: balance! The bicycle isn’t actually supported in any way other than your wheels on the rolling barrels. The biggest advantage of rollers is that they improve your form. Maintaining your balance on rollers requires you to develop a smooth, even pedal stroke, and to ride in a straight line. The disadvantage of rollers, as compared to stationary trainers, is the need to use your hands and brain to balance. You may lose the ability to focus on other tasks while training.
